WOOD-SKIN was founded in Milan in 2013 by a group of young architects, designers and engineers who share a passion for detail, material, innovation and digital work environments.

The group aims to bridge the gap between complex conceptual digital display and the physical structure environment. That is to say, using advanced technology to turn, complex designed dreams and graphic ideas into physical reality and new aesthetic language.

Thanks to the Wood-Skin® technology patent, you can transform materials such as wood, metal, fabric, lamination, mirrors and more – into a flexible 3D geometric fabric that allows for “free sampling” and designing in the actual space.

Whether it is sculptural cladding for a poll, a counter or acoustic ceiling, Wood-Skin products prove that true innovations sit at the intersection of material and technology.

All WOOD-SKIN products have high acoustic qualities. The angular 3D geometry breaks the sound waves, and the selection of finishing materials with high acoustic coefficient (felt, perforated wood, etc.) will ensure excellent acoustics in the space where the element is applied. The product is already widely used around the world in movie theaters, recording studios and the like.
