My Story: The Perfection of Imperfection.
“My art is rooted in a philosophy that draws its essence from both the spiritual and material worlds we inhabit, a world of disorder that gives rise to the spiritual perfection of nature, humanity, and their interactions. There is something inherently perfect within imperfection; therefore, my art is not sharp or defined by straight lines, but is instead mostly soft, curved and colorful, much like the forms created by nature in its dialogue with the universe and humankind.
The studio, located in the heart of Old Jaffa, within an authentic Jaffa stone building that inspires creativity in all who enter, opens its doors twice a week for an artist’s workshop, where I teach about art, faith, and how the passion for creation is a force greater than the wind. I feel a sense of mission; art is meant to create joy and enhance the space.
Each day, I grow and evolve, learning about myself and life, and translating everything into material, whether in firm, assertive bronze, or delicate, fragile, yet inexplicably powerful porcelain.” Art is the craft, and so I also design an entire collection of sinks, light fixtures and objects, each inextricably linked to the ongoing dialogue between architecture and spatial design.”
